Giant Stingray, Topless Cafe, and the Grim Sleeper

Three of the most interesting stories in current hot trends are the capture of a giant 7 ft. long stingray, a topless coffee shop opens in Maine, and the police are on the hunt for a serial killer in Los Angeles dubbed the "Grim Sleeper".

The giant stingray was caught by a 45 year old man named Ian Welch. He caught it with a rod making this giant stingray the largest ever fish caught with a rod. The pregnant stingray was 7 foot long and 7 foot wide with a 10 foot tail. It was caught off the coast of Thailand. Pictures were taken and I believe the stingray was released back into the river.

Hooters is a restaurant chain that features girls with hot pants and halter tops so the diner can experience a "grand view" while he or she enjoys the cuisine. The Grand View Topless Coffee Shop in Vassboro Maine has taken the Hooters experience to a whole new level. Both waiters and waitresses are topless as they bring the customers their orders. 1985 began a string of murders in Los Angeles California all committed by the same man. The police have dubbed this killer the "Grim Sleeper". Many of the victims were raped before they were killed and all the victims are black. The police believe the "Grim Sleeper" is black but they haven't ruled out that he could be white or of another race.

There were no known murder victims between the years 1988 and 2002. The killer struck again in 2002 killing a 14 year old girl. I suspect that the years of silence between the murders is the reason the killer has been dubbed the "Grim Sleeper". His last known murder occurred in 2007.
